About TRS Meeting

The Term Rewriting Meeting (TRS Meeting) is a biannual informal workshop that aims at promoting the research on rewriting and related areas. All participants are requested to present their recent activities, observations, etc. (in English). The subject of the talk, however, is not required to be one's original result; for example, it is perfectly acceptable to explain a paper of your interest or a tool that you're developping. (See http://www.jaist.ac.jp/~hirokawa/trs-meeting/ for further information.)

Access

Hotel's Access map

A free shuttle bus service between JR Iwamuro Station and the hotel can be requested to the hotel, at least 1 day prior to your arrival. (Please feel free to let the organizer know if you need assistance.) JR Iwamuro Station is reached in approx. 50 minutes from JR Niigata Station via JR Echigo Line.

You can also access Yahiko Shrine and Yahiko Park nearby via JR Echigo Line easily; you might also enjoy a popular local sweet there. Cave D'occi is a small village containing small local vineyards, restaurants, and spa located in an accessible distance by car or bus. Dairo-no-yu is an onsen-spa nearby within a walking distance from the venue. A sake brewery nearby welcomes a visit. In winter, flocks of swans reside in Niigata area. (You might see them on the field from your trains.) Sakata Park nearby is a wetland, one of the swans' gathering place (nearest JR station is Echigo-Akatsuka). Swan's coming back time (early evening) should be a good scene worth watching.
